How to install OutreachPro (Windows)
====================================

Welcome! This takes about a minute, and you do not need to be technical. You
also do not need to install anything else first - everything OutreachPro needs
is inside this one installer.

(For Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. If you are on a Mac, ask for the Mac version
instead - this installer is for Windows only.)


Installing
----------

1. You were sent one file, named something like

       OutreachPro-Setup-2.3.exe

   Save it somewhere easy to find, like your Desktop or Downloads folder.

2. Double-click that file.

3. Windows may show a blue box that says "Windows protected your PC". This is
   normal for a newly released app and does not mean anything is wrong. If you
   see it:

       - click "More info"
       - then click "Run anyway"

   If you do not see that box, just carry on.

4. The installer opens. Click through it - "Next", then "Install". It installs
   only for you, so Windows will NOT ask for an administrator password.

   If you would like an icon on your Desktop, leave the "Create a desktop
   shortcut" box ticked.

5. When it finishes, you can tick "Launch OutreachPro now", or open it any time
   later from the Start menu (type "OutreachPro") or the Desktop icon.


Opening it, and keeping it running
-----------------------------------

The first time you open OutreachPro, a small black window appears, and a few
seconds later the app opens in its own window.

Keep that black window open while you are using the app, and while you want it
to send automatic follow-ups. Closing the black window quits OutreachPro. You
can make the window as small as you like, or leave it behind the app window -
it just needs to stay open.


Setting up your accounts
-------------------------

OutreachPro starts empty - none of your email accounts, keys or contacts are in
it yet. You add your own inside the app:

    - your Gmail accounts        -> the "Sender accounts" page
    - your Google key            -> the "Settings" page
    - your WhatsApp details      -> the "WhatsApp setup" page

Your passwords and keys are stored only on this computer, locked so other
accounts on the PC cannot read them. They are never sent anywhere except to
Google or WhatsApp when the app sends your messages.


Updating
--------

OutreachPro updates itself. When a new version is ready, the app tells you and
updates when you say yes - you do not need to download anything or run this
installer again.


Removing it
-----------

To uninstall: open Windows "Settings" -> "Apps", find OutreachPro, and choose
"Uninstall" - or use the "Uninstall OutreachPro" item in the Start menu.

Removing the app does NOT delete your accounts, contacts or history, so if you
reinstall later, everything is still there.


If something does not work
--------------------------

Try closing the black window and opening OutreachPro again. If it still will
not start, send this back to whoever gave you the app, and mention what you saw
on screen.
